Jaleló – Vehicle Rental Policies
1. Minimum Driver Age:
The main driver must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle.
2. Driver’s License:
A valid and current driver’s license issued by your country of residence is required. International driver’s licenses are also accepted.
3. Security Deposit:
A security deposit of $600.00 is required when booking the vehicle online. This deposit must be paid at the time of the online rental and will be refunded upon completion of the rental, subject to vehicle inspection. The refund process takes approximately 7–10 calendar days.
4. Insurance:
All our vehicles are insured with mandatory coverage included in the final rental price.
5. Fuel Policy:
We operate under a “full-to-full” fuel policy. The vehicle must be returned with a full tank. Otherwise, an additional refueling fee will be charged.
6. Usage Restrictions:
Rental vehicles are not authorized to cross international borders. Additionally, use of the vehicle on unpaved roads or in hazardous areas is prohibited. If the vehicle is used under these conditions and damage occurs, repair costs will be charged accordingly.
7. Payment Conditions:
Full payment for the rental is required at the time of vehicle pick-up. We accept credit and debit cards.
8. Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation fees may apply depending on how far in advance the booking is canceled:
- 22 days or more: 100% refund (minus card processing fees)
- 10 to 21 days: 50% refund (minus card processing fees)
- Less than 9 days: No refund of the rental fee; only the deposit will be refunded (minus card processing fees)
These policies are subject to change and may vary depending on availability and vehicle type. By renting a vehicle with JALELÓ, the customer agrees to comply with all the policies and terms established herein.
